UPSC के द्वारा Civil Services Examination का आयोजन किया जा रहा है जिसमें शामिल होने के लिए अभ्यर्थी को स्नातक पास या अंतिम वर्ष में अध्ययनरत होना अनिवार्य है.
इस परीक्षा में सामान्य जाति के लोग सिर्फ 6 बार फॉर्म भर सकते, पिछड़ा वर्ग जाति के लोग 9 बार और अनुसूचित जाति/अनुसूचित जनजाति के लोग को फॉर्म भरने कोई सीमा नहीं है.

PLAN OF EXAMINATION
The Civil Services Examination comprises two successive stages:
- Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for Civil Services (Main) Examination; and
- Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview/Personality Test) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts
